Ace cricketer Javagal Srinath joins BJP Former Indian cricketer Javagal Srinath on Monday joined the BJP. Reports suggest that he will contest Lok Sabha election from Hasan constituency. Disco King Bappi Lahiri joins BJP Srinath, who has a phenomenal cricketing career, was Indias finest fast bowler in the 1990′s. He is India’s fastest bowler (1996 South Africa Tour) and the only Indian fast bowler to have taken more than 300 wickets in ODI’s. Srinath was a frontline fast bowler for the Indian cricket team until his retirement. He was the second Indian pace bowler after Kapil Dev to take 200 Test wickets. Srinath was the leading wicket taker from India in Cricket World Cups, with 44 wickets in the 1992, 1996, 1999 and 2003 World cups.
